Sh. G.L. Mittal, the author of Nootan ISC Physics XI and XII was a brilliant Scholar since his student
life. A first division in High School in 1953 motivated and pursued his Intermediate, B.Sc. and M.Sc. in 1955, 1957 and 1959 respectively Intermediate, B.Sc. and M.Sc. in 1955, 1957 and 1959 respectively. He was listed in the merit of Agra University and received a bursary in recognition of his meritorious scholarship.

He joined A.S.College, Mawana as a lecturer in Physics in its early years of establishment. He worked
there till his retirement in 1999. During his stint of 40 years here he brought name and fame for the
institution as a learned teacher and a renowned author.

Apart from being an academician, he was a part of various co-curricular activities.
He was the officer in-charge in NCC(Sr. Div.) in the college for about 15 years, a honorary Chief Proctor
for nearly 30 years.
As a disciplinarian he handled all the student related activities in and around the college with excellent
proficience.

He brought out his first book from Agra in 1960. But the book which brought him name and fame has
been his vetleve ceeOÙeefcekeâ Yeeweflekeâer Yeeie 1 Je 2 which he wrote in collaboration with Prof.
Raj Kumar of Meerut College, Meerut in 1965 firstly in the form of question and answer, then in the form
of text books in 1969.

It was a grand success which was received by the learned teachers and students
with equal enthusiasm. It was proudly published under the banner of Nageen Prakashan Ltd, Meerut. The
success of the book was further confirmed when it was translated into English in 1989 on demand from
English medium students and those appearing for CPMT. After that the authors wrote Physics bo0ks
separately for ISC and CBSE board’s students.

Dr. D. K. Jain

Born on 25th August, 1951 in the historical city of Meerut Dr. D. K. Jain completed his post graduation
in 1972 and Doctoral in 1978 from the then Meerut University, Meerut. He joined Meerut College,
Meerut as a lecturer in Botany in July, 1972. His toil through the years earned him the well deserved
promotion as Reader of Botany in the year 1986 and finally he retired from the position of Head, Botany
Deptt., Meerut College, Meerut attaining the age of superannuation in August, 2013.
His abilities, qualities, acumen and skills are reflected in the coveted assignments handled by him
during his service period. He with his discerning eye spotted the best academic talents from all around.
He is blessed with fine administrative powers and tactical skills. The manners in which he conducted
himself brought him accolades and laurels. The fragrance emitted by his outstanding work reached
everywhere. His talent blossomed during his visit to University of Manchester, United Kingdom
as a postdoctoral fellow. During the stay in Manchester, he was trained in axenic cultures, electron
microscopy and ultra microscopy.

His substantial intellectual achievements have been listed in several biographical works, including
International Who’s Who of Intellectuals, U.K., Men of Achievement, U.K., International Dictionary of
Biogeography, U.K., Who’s Who in Commonwealth, U.K..
In addition to pursuing a busy career, Dr. Jain has found the time for other professional and social
activities, and is the holder of a number of memberships and fellowships in international and national
societies of repute, including Royal Society of Arts, London; Linnean Society, London; Botanical Society of
Edinburgh, U.K; Association of Applied Biology, U.K.; Torrey Botanical Club, U.S.A.; International Society
of Plant Morphologists, India; Indian Botanical Society, India; Society for Advancement of Botany, India.
Dr. Jain is an example to all the youngsters, in showing how to rise to higher positions in career by
sheer dedication and hard work. He is a benevolent guide to the Ph.D. scholars who are working under
his supervision.
Dr. Jain is the author of more than 80 scientific papers, and of several books meant for ISC, CBSE and
U.P. Board students, besides the students of graduate and post-graduate classes. His books are profusely
illustrated, and precisely written in a simple lucid language, covering all essential facts. Even some of the
text books are subsidized by the Government of India for the benefit of students.

His books are highly appreciated by a wide circle of teachers and students not only in India but also
outside in several countries.
Several of his research projects have been supported by Royal Society, U.K. University Grants
Commission, New Delhi, C.S.I.R., New Delhi, and SCST, Lucknow. Besides, Dr. Jain has helped in designing
of curriculum for various classes.

He is of the opinion that the young students of Biology should be
inclined towards practical and field work which is the core of the study of Biology. The teaching of biology
should be more result oriented and driven by practical exercises to make it interesting and learning a fun
for the students.

In his spare time, Dr. Jain does counselling and remedial teaching to the needy students and enjoys
social service, reading and scientific writings.

Dr. H.C. Srivastava

Born on Aug 16th ,1951, Dr H.C. Srivastava has been a man of learning and a reputed academician.
He retired as the head of chemistry department, Vardhaman P.G. College, Bijnor after an extensive stint
of teaching career. It is in evidence of his success as a guide philosopher that his own students occupy
positions of excellence in the field of academics at various places.

Achievements : Dr. Srivastava’s achievements as a teacher and as an author are exceptionally
outstanding. He has an extensive experience of 43 years as a teacher and guide in the field of education. It
is by dint of his successful completion of academic career that he has been able to bring out quality titles
covering the syllabus of all major educational boards of ICSE,ISC,CBSE,U.P. and Uttarakhand. His books
cover a wide range of Engineering and Medical Competitive examinations besides syllabuses for classes
9th, 10th, 11th, 12th & B.Sc.
It is in recognition of the quality and usefulness of his books that the U.P Board has designated
Dr. Srivastava as one of the authorized writers for the board’s syllabus. The schools and colleges
have further confirmed the utility of Dr. Srivastava’s books by recommending them for their students.
Dr. Srivastava enjoys an international repute on account of his research papers which have found a proud
place in at national as well as international level. At least 10 of his research papers have been published
in international journals. There is a well known proverb that coming events cast their shadows before. It
could be fairly predicted that his books will earn well deserved name and fame when he was bestowed
upon the gold medal in his M.Sc.
Dr. Srivastava is entirely devoted to the cause of educational enhancement.

Dr. Sanjeev Verma

Dr. Sanjeev Verma has an inborn flair towards learning and teaching. He started his career as associate
lecturer in one of the premium college of Asia SPA and then as academic coordinator in Amity institute of
competitions, Brilliant Tutorials and now in Educomp Learning hour has been teaching Maths over VSAT
handling Vidyamandir classes as Program Director looking after studio operations and tech divisions.
He heads various forums involved in discussions of different topics and questions from primary level
to competitive level.

He has vast experience of not only teaching undergraduates and school standards but also of
conducting workshops for teachers and students. He has been instrumental in experimenting technology
for education and always looks forward to be a part of revolution in the way teaching and technology is
merged.
He is also contributing his part for the upliftment of economically weaker sections of the society by

Dr. P. Bahadur

Dr. P. Bahadur an acclaimed author of Chemistry, did his post graduation from Agra College, Agra
in 1970. Later on completed his Ph.D. from Meerut University, Meerut in 1974. He had joined D.A.V.
(P.G.) College, Muzaffarnagar in July 1970 as a lecturer and retired with a very Precious Title “Head of
the Department of Chemistry.” Presently he is serving iitguide.com as a Head of Faculty of Chemistry.

Since 1970 he is engaged in teaching Under Graduate and Post Graduate classes, researches, guiding and
providing important sessions to IIT, Engineering and Medical students.
Besides teaching, he is a passionate writer who is eager to discuss more and more. This made him a
renowned name in Chemistry. He wrote his first book in 1994 “Numerical Chemistry” which is proved
as a milestone in the field of Chemistry.

For his great contributions, he has been awarded National Associateship of U.G.C. for two successive
tenures (5 years and 3 years). With the same side, he is a great name in “International Market” as his
journals such as J. Amer Oil Chemists Soc. (USA), Colloid and Polymer Science (UK), Technol (Romania),
Tenside Surfactants (Germany) have achieved great success. From past 47 years he is serving his field with
great patience, dedication and loyalty.

Dr. Subhash Chandra Tripathi

Dr. Tripathi had done his M.Sc.(Zoology) and completed his Ph.D. Presently he is serving the
Department of Pharmacology, Central Drug Institute, Lucknow. His contribution in the field of education
is remarkable. He had conducted numerous workshops to strengthen the knowledge of biology students.

He is the life time member of Kaul Science Foundation, Lucknow and the Association of Teachers in
Biological Science (Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mumbai). Presently he is the member of
Subject Committee for Review of Syllabus (ISC Biology).

Sh. S.C. Yadav

He had completed his M.Sc. in Physics from Agra University, Agra in 1984. Thereafter he had done his
B.Ed. from IGNOU. Since 1984, he is a gem in teaching and presently serving as head of the department
of Physics in CMS school, Lucknow.

Because of his great contribution he is certified by US to teach AP Physics C Mechanics for advance
placement in Foreign Universities. His contribution in the field of Physics is remarkable as he had also
conducted NSEP, NSEC, NSEB, NSEA and NSEJS Olympiads.

Besides teaching he loves to write and this proved him a great author of Physics.
He is a life time member of Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT).
